Register Your Work with the Catalogue Raisonné
The James Fitzgerald Legacy seeks to document the artist’s complete output, which includes locating previously unknown works, and to maintain a record of the details associated with each work. This database documents descriptive information along with provenance, exhibition records, critical review, and a record of publications related to all known work created by the artist. We are equally interested in learning of current and previous owners.
The basic information that will be needed to begin a registration request includes a thumbnail image, measurement of the work’s dimensions, and pertinent provenance information.
Please contact the Legacy to initiate a discussion regarding a registration request for each Fitzgerald work(s) you own or have owned in the past. The Legacy is glad to provide a Letter of Authenticity for successfully documented and registered works.
A critical focus of the Fitzgerald Catalogue Raisonné involves obtaining high resolution images of all extant work. The Legacy will work with you to obtain professional, high resolution, digital images of your work. We seek images that are TIFF files, at least 300 dpi full size, and will arrange for the photography to be completed. Once these images are obtained, works can be added to the online Catalog Raisonné.
PLEASE NOTE that submission of a registration request does not guarantee inclusion in the Fitzgerald Catalogue Raisonné. Once the Legacy Committee has reviewed a registration submission, we will inform you whether the work is a known Fitzgerald. If it is not known, we will supply the information necessary for the work to be submitted to the Catalogue Raisonné Committee for consideration.
