The James Fitzgerald Legacy operates within the framework of the Monhegan Museum of Art & History and is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Its Advisory Board is comprised of volunteers who devote their time and efforts to preserve, protect, and promote James Fitzgerald’s work.

The Legacy is in the process of researching and developing a Catalogue Raisonné of the artist’s lifetime artistic output. If artwork by James Fitzgerald is part of your collection, or if you are an art dealer who has his work consigned to you for sale or auction, we are seeking information about individual paintings. Please let us hear from you in order to help us complete and verify this important database.
