Daniel J. Broeckelmann

Daniel J. Broeckelmann has been a member of the Fitzgerald Legacy since its inception in 2003. A grandnephew of James Fitzgerald, Broeckelmann first came to Monhegan 20 years ago. In the 1990’s he spent several summers living in the Kent-Fitzgerald cottage as a guest of Anne Hubert, assisting her with the regular studio hours and her work on the Fitzgerald estate. He performs archival framing, following techniques previously utilized by Ed Hubert, and is responsible for the framing of the Collection. Since 2004 he has held weekly summer studio hours in Fitzgerald’s Monhegan studio. Along with his wife, Krista Lisajus, he manages Monhegan’s Island Inn.
